What we welcome

We consider explanatory pieces, comparisons, thoughtful background and focused planning ideas about gatherings, skill sharing, volunteering, shared resources and local knowledge. Strong contributions are specific without assuming every community has the same people, facilities or traditions.

A useful pitch

Tell us the proposed angle, why it matters to a general reader, what the piece would cover and what makes your approach distinctive. A few sentences are enough to show the central question and the main takeaway. Please flag any factual claims that need particular verification.
